Turnkey laser welding systems from DTEC are in operation at two of the leading solar collector manufacturers in India.

DTEC delivers the first laser welding systems for absorber production to India. With them, EMMVEE Solar Systems Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore and Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. in Mumbai can now manufacture solar absorbers from different materials and with different sizes. "The systems are maintenance-free and are equipped with a CNC programming system as well as a remote maintenance system from Siemens," says DTEC Managing Director Michael Dietl.

The systems can weld meander bends on both sides. According to its own information, DTEC owns a patent for this technology, which is supposed to provide an additional performance of 5 - 6 % with a 2 m² collector. "The systems have a modular design and can be expanded to full automation," explains Dietl. Only a second laser source would have to be integrated in order to double the production capacity of the systems. DTEC conducts training courses for the employees of the collector manufacturers at its company location in Spital am Pyhrn and on site.
